A train and BRT Bus collided in the Ikeja area of Lagos on Thursday morning. Several passengers are feared dead following the impact of the collision.
However, significant number of casualties are anticipated following a collision involving a train and a Lagos staff bus. The train collided with the BRT, causing it to be dragged from the Ikeja Along area to Shogunle.
An individual who preferred to remain anonymous reported that a bus traveling towards Ikeja through PwD from Oshodi bus terminal collided with a train on the rail track. The collision occurred because the bus driver failed to anticipate the oncoming train while navigating the route.
Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) confirmed that there were casualties and that efforts were underway to rescue the victims and transport them to the nearest hospital. At the time of writing this report, emergency response teams, including the police and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agencies (LASEMA), were en route to the accident site
